Graffiti is, at its core, stylized letters. Over decades writers developed recognizable styles of shaping those letters. Knowing a few of the main ones makes any wall easier to read.

How to tell them apart

A quick rule of thumb: if it’s round and quick, it’s bubble; if it’s big and boxy, it’s block; if you can barely read it, it’s probably wildstyle; and if it looks like it’s floating off the wall, that’s 3D. Most full pieces mix several of these.
